It looks like DNForum.com was down and now back up

DNForum.com looks to have been taken down. *Update after publishing it came back up. Earlier there was a for sale screenshot shared on Twitter. It looks like it was only a temporary problem that thankfully got fixed. The current owner of the website is Epik.

The once popular forum has had a lot of stops and starts over the years.

Back in 2018 exactly 4 years to the day, OnlineDomain.com reported:

“DNForum.com is currently for sale along with it’s database of 535,000 Domainers. Many of the Domainers have more than 10-10000 domains. Lots of potential business for the right company. If interested email sales@dnforum.com with an offer or any questions you may have. Only offers received through the email will be considered. This will be a fast, smooth escrow.com transaction.

Back in 2016 it was parked at Sedo for a little while, when Adam Dicker owned the forum.

Andrew at DNW.com reported on the Epik acquisition of DNForum in 2021.

DNForum was once the domain industry’s most active forum but was supplanted by NamePros. The forum went dark in 2016 and was subsequently acquired by George Verdugo and Kevin Faler. The duo then sold the business to Oliver Hoger, John Nguyen and Lars Lima in 2018.

It now looks like the site is done.

@ariyas on Twitter tweeted out a screenshot of the name for sale.

I don’t see that currently, I see 404 Not Found, with the url changing to http://dnforum.com/mail/.

Now the website is back up again.
