Kyle Tully posted pn X that he paid $140 to transfer his .ai domain name to Spaceship. The name moved over, he paid $140 but even though the checkout showed (including one year renewal). Spaceship replied Hey there! We use this template for all transfers, regardless of the TLD. We’re really sorry for any confusion it may have caused.
Snoopy replied to them, “Clearly says “includes 1 year renewal”. You will badly lose if anyone takes this to court. Saying the opposite as in a fine print disclaimer won’t save you!”
It’s not just Spaceship that’s just who Kyle used, Elad posted he paid $150 to transfer to Dynadot and he did not get any years added.
Moral of the story, pick who you want to hold your .ai domain names and stay there.
